This years event cancelled.

Unfortunately this years event was cancelled due to the bad weather, thank you to all those who made the journey to Portgordon but the wind increased too much and the rain got harder.

Also thank you to the people who have sent emails. And we can confirm that the event will not go ahead again this year. There are lots of reasons that its not possible, but basically we have to fix a date and all our licence's, insurance, road closures & the fun fair. Also we have to reorganise to have stewards & collectors, helpers and have to re-advertise the whole event. There is a lot of cost involved in all of this, so unfortunately it is not possible this year.

We would like to thank everyone who helped setup the event which takes months of preparation. We would also like to thank the business that helped including Flicks, Keystore (Portgordon), Springfield Properties, Charles Milne ( MPD Homes ), John Robertson (North), McColl's (Buckpool) and Portgordon Harbour Group.

This years event was scheduled for Saturday November the 1st. The event should of started at 6PM with Buckie and District pipe band due to start the event off and fireworks to begin shortly after. The finale was going to be provided by Fireworx Scotland who are the current Scottish Firework Champions.

Portgordon Fireworks group hold an annual community event attended by thousands every November. The event is run by the volunteers from Portgordon and surrounding areas to create one of the biggest's local organised displays.
